Mistakes That Lead To Storage Auction

Let's say that a tenant signs a form permitting the storage facility manager to charge their credit card on a monthly basis for storage rent. What happens if they are over-the-limit on the day the card is run? Or, perhaps the card was cancelled and the monthly deduction for the storage rent forgotten?

To make matters more complicated, suppose a tenant takes an extended trip, or gets a work transfer to another city or country and their credit card fails to pay the bill? How could they be notified unless hey had informed their storage manager in advance? Sound far-fetched? These are very real examples, common causes leading to storage forfeiture and auction.

Finally, there are people who simply decide that they don't want the items in storage any longer. It may be easier to abandon the merchandise than hassle to move it elsewhere or struggle to sell the items. Or maybe they are moving away and it is just too much to deal with. The reasons why storage gets abandoned are endless... and sometimes odd.
