Re: Auctioneer
Every auctioneer that I know has a website, a mailing list or makes power calls. For example, I do all three. I have a website, I email advance notices of scheduled auctions, I send text messages and I use a service that automatically calls everyone in my database with a prerecorded message. Don't get me wrong, I am not bragging, most auctioneers now do this.
Just ask every auctioneer what they do. Leads or buyers information is like gold too us!!!!

This is a feature that exist today on ST, but in a test version. We are close to a new tool for auctioneers and buyers to connect. Auctioneers can have a profile that allows them to tag/claim all the storage facilities they represent and add auction information. The purpose of ST is to connect auctioneers and bidders.
Bidders will be able to search for auctioneers and follow them...you can search for auctioneers now in the search window. Click "users" type "dotson" and hit search.
You will get results that look like this...
I sorted by "user type" to bring the auctioneers to the top. When you go to the auctioneers profile you can "follow" the auctioneer and you will have the auctioneer within your (auctioneer section) the list on the left side of your screen.
The search window will change soon and you will be able to select "auctioneers" and there will be an auctioneer directory on the site to browse for auctioneers as well. It looks like this...before the end of the year.
Auctioneers will also be able to add "non-storage auctions" as well. We think the bidders might want to know about the auctioneers other auctions. Auctioneers will have the option to place the schedule widget on their website. Here is a live widget on a storage company site. http://www.a1storage.com/auctions
There are many other features on the auctioneers widget that we can talk about when it goes live.
You can follow as many auctioneers as you wish and auctioneers can have as many followers as they can attract. Auctioneers will have the ability to send out information to all followers/bidders in their profile. Maybe you have a special auction coming up and want to make sure all your bidders are aware...
Auctioneers will get featured on many places on ST as well. Every auction you have will be connected to you!
etc etc etc
We are really trying to make it simple...and we think we can!

I already follow what few Auctioneers I have found in my area through there websites. Although I would like to be able to follow them on ST, and maybe find others in my area as well.
Thanks ST, cant wait till that version of the search bar is implemented.
