If you've been to a storage auction, or looked into going to one, you've probably heard some buzz about "researching tenants." Did you wonder how you do that? Or what the heck they were talking about? The idea is...work smarter, not harder.
Before you bid, you want to find out as much as you can about the unit. Did the unit belong to an 90 year old woman that just passed away? Or a twenty-two year old college graduate that doesn't want their Ikea dorm stuff anymore? Did the tenant fall on hard times? Or go to jail? Are they a doctor, an artist, a mechanic? Wouldn't it be nice to have this intel before you arrive on auction day!
The Pros you're bidding against think so. I don't know about you, but I don't want to bid against someone that has more info than I do.
