How do I register to bid?

In order to place a bid you must first create an account. To create a new account, click the button on the top, right corner of the StorageTreasures website. Select the “Auction Buyer” account type. You’ll be asked to enter your name and email address, and to choose a password.
You’ll receive a verification email to the email address you provided. Access the link provided to activate your account.

How do I search for auctions in my area?

You can filter your search by unit contents, categories, zip code, state, city name, and facility name. If you type in a zip code, you can set the search radius to how far you are willing to go.
Please remember: Time zone is shown in your local time even when bidding in other states.

I won an auction, now what do I do?

Pull up the invoice within your email or invoices tab. Look for the facility address and contact information. Please contact the facility to arrange a pick up time. You will need to bring cash or credit card for the bid amount, cleaning deposit, and sales tax when applied. Your cleaning deposit will be returned once all items from the unit have been removed.

I need help signing in. I tried to sign in, but it keeps saying my login info is incorrect.

If you forgot your password, a temporary reset password can be emailed to you. Click on the “Forget Your Password?” link from the “Login to Your Account” page. Then, enter the temporary password in the password box, log in, and then reset your password under "Settings".
If you are still having difficulty logging in, there may be an issue with your account. Please contact Customer Support at 480-397-6503.

Why do I need a credit card on file?

Since we charge you a fee per every won auction, we need to make sure you have a valid credit card on file. If you do not have a credit card on file, you will be unable to bid.

How do I update my payment method?

Login into your StorageTreasures account and click on Settings. See “Billing Information” to add or edit your payment method.

What is a Max Bid (proxy bid)?

The proxy bid feature allows you to set your highest bid and let the computer do the bidding for you! This way you don’t have to watch the auction so closely. The system will automatically increase your bid by $10 increments.

How can I retract a bid?

You cannot remove your bid, but you can retract your “max bid” to match the current “highest bid” amount.
Log into your account. My account->Auction Tools->Bid Manager->Update Max Bid->Enter Max Bid.

I entered the current high bid but the page is saying I am not the highest bidder. Why?

Another bidder may have entered a max bid of the same amount prior to you entering your bid.

I have a tax ID, how do I enter that into your site?

There is no area to enter your tax ID into the website but please take your tax exempt paperwork to the storage facility. They should have a process in place to verify the paperwork. Once it is verified they just need to remove the sales tax from balance due at facility.

How much will be charged to my card?

15% buyer premium (or 10% if you are a Pro Member)
10% purchase deposit

What is the Purchase Deposit?

When you get to the facility, you will pay the remaining balance. This is calculated as the sales price less 10% purchase deposit, or 90% of the sales price is due at the facility.

How do I upgrade my account?

Log into your account, click on account settings.

How do I cancel my PRO Membership?

Log into your account, click on Settings, “Change Membership Type”.

Why did the facility cancel the auction?

There are many reasons why an auction may be canceled. The top 3 reasons for a cancelled auction include: tenant paid, legal issue, posting issue.

How do I get my money back after the facility said the tenant paid?

If an auction was cancelled, we will issue a refund. We review cancelled auctions on a daily basis and we will issue the refund as soon as possible.

Am I able to edit my bid manager?

Any active auctions that you have bid on will be available under you bid manager until they are either cancelled or expired.

Where can I find my invoices for every auction I have ever won? (need them for tax purposes.)

Log into your account, click “Invoices”.

How do I print my invoices?

You are able to print the invoices within your account using all web browsers except Internet Explorer.

I left the cleaning deposit, why did you ban me?

The cleaning deposit is not an option to leave behind. In our terms of use you have agreed to clean out each unit that you win.
